Having used and invested in Apple since the Mac Classic via IIci, LC475 etc and having lived (and worked) with Apple through the Dark Days (Amelio et al), I'm always pleased/relieved that Apple are stil around! That this Apple keeps ahead of the curve is important, but their kit lasts which, to someone who uses their Macs every day is one of the mos important aspects.
I don't need, nor can afford, to be at the head of the queue every time a new bit of kit is bequeathed to us by the benighted Jobs/Ive axis! Sure I love it when a new shiny thing appears on stage, and follow the rumours closely, so what if the iPhone is September or 2012.
I'm pretty sure that the revenue from iOS devices helps Apple keep the Mac flag flying high, for that reason I like the hype and expectation that is drummed up. Anything which keeps Apple in the computer game I'm all for.
And yes I have an iPhone (3GS), and yes I will buy the next iPhone when it arrives, and yes I'll probably stick with that one for another two years. One thing's for certain, as long as Apple keep computing close to their heart (rather than their wallet) I'll keep the faith.

Maybe that's the way it strikes you, but this isn't the way it strikes those of us who've been using Pages since it came out.
But all of my work is poorly-researched, so maybe that's why I like it.

So it's not like I'm the only one who thinks that Pages needs more to better compare to Word. As it stands, I'll give Pages a shot if I need to do something fancier than writing for MFA workshops.
Plus, I save a couple of bucks.

android is not a handset manufacturer. it just is a viral mobile platform supplier. it works for them for market share but low on maximum profitability. apple must be appreciated for what they are. Leaders. they did what everyone else was scared to do with smartphones (no stylus) and took the jump into a dead segment (tablets) and they went about it well and reaped the rewards. now johnny come lateley (goog) has come in with the "ours is almost as good but for FREE" and have roped in many marginally satisfied adopters. android's every success is a tribute to its forerunner and DADDY, apple, who still does it best and wont relinquish that fact ever because they Lead the entire industry in all things and they lead well. stop being so butthurt about it and raise your glass to the best. amen, brother (sister?).. i, too, am in the original iphone club. i didn't think the 3G or 3GS were worthy of an upgrade.. but iphone 4 was beautiful and i was finally ready. unfortunately, i fell in love with the white so i waited.. and waited..
it's been a very painful 10 months, but now that i've waited this long, i'm trying to be strong and hold out for the iphone 5. i wish i knew whether it was coming out in june or september. if september for sure, i would just get the iphone 4.. argh.

If Lion does give you the ability to emulate iOS apps on your Mac....
How do you control them? A touch-screen iMac is a non-starter because of the "Frankenstein Posture", not to mention the smudges on the screen. A touch-screen laptop wouldn't be much better. I don't like the lying-down-iMac like in that recent patent, but maybe that's just me.
The Magic Trackpad is already a touchscreen, just with no display behind it. What if a new one came out with a display and some kind of ARM processor? (It could be an old, really cheap one�the Mac would be doing the heavy lifting.) You could pretend it was an iDevice, download apps for it, interact with them on the trackpad while the main display mirrored what you were doing.
Building the same functionality into laptop trackpads would be a later step, if this caught on, but wouldn't such a Magic Trackpad be an iDevice: "iX", associated with a "Mac", that they just haven't thought up a name for yet? It would debut this summer with Lion, to take advantage of the fusion between iOS and OS X.

I'm pretty sure that any time you use Personal file sharing, you are using AppleTalk.
EDIT: More info... Personal File Sharing is based off of Apple Filing Protocol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Filing_Protocol). From wikipedia:

Here's a radical suggestion, very unlikely to be implemented, but maybe interesting.
The iPod has a screen on the front which displays the controls, but the touch/presence/motion sensitive sensor is on the back. Since the controls are on the back, your view of the screen isn't obscured by your finger tapping on it.
But how do you see exactly where your fingers are? Simple - the "None Touch" sensor detects where your fingers are, and superimposes a representation of their position on the screen - it's almost like a transparent iPod, where your fingers behind the iPod are shown on the screen in front.
Benefits
- your fingers aren't obscuring your view of the screen
- you're not smudging or scratching the screen by tapping on it.
Disadvantages

Why? I'd love to buy some Beats headphones. Like the style of it.
I bought the Beats Pro, for $300 dollars, and returned it the next day. No way those headphones are worth that much. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for those. Sound leakage is horrendous, and the sound quality is not $300 dollars worth to me. Got the BOSE OE Audio Headphones for $180, and couldn't be happier.
I can think of a few more reasons why you shouldn't get the Beats:
1. Overpriced
2. Overrated
3. U can find much better quality headphones, for much less.
4. The Solo ones will probably break on u in a few months of use, because, well, the built quality sucks.

"Top secret" also probably means "not developed enough to show yet".
