Julie came to us last year as a referral from another one of our brides, Liz. To state a fact, Julie is GORGEOUS...and no, she has never worked as a model, but I really think she should consider it! :) And her gown...DIVINE!
Tommy and I had such a great time working with Julie and her entourage (i.e. mom, sister, brides maids) while we were shooting in Downtown Bryan then at Rice University and the Medical District of Houston. I can't tell you enough how much we appreciate having assistants there to help out the bride with things like shoe changes, fetching her water, lipstick touchups...it really takes a small team!
We started the day out at the La Salle to break the ice then we headed down the street and found a cool, weathered doorway at the back entrance to The Stafford.
{FYI...They have some great bands playing there nightly...A certain hubby of mine may have graced their stage, too. Haha!}
After a few shots with some lovely foliage outside the Brazos Cotton Exchange, we raced to Houston to get some shots at Rice University while we still had some sunlight.
...{if you haven't been, it's architecturally stunning and makes the perfect setting for bridal portraits}...
Needless to say, there are just so many picturesque spots in that area! We had a hard time narrowing down the locations to shoot...the Medical District has some amazing water features, lighting, gazebos, columns, and sculptures. Julie's beautiful, goddess-style dress combined with the {Greco-Roman} type gazebo were a perfect pairing... it felt very reminiscent of ancient Greek art and temples. {Gorgeous!!}
Wedding highlights coming soon, friends!
Congrats again, Julie...hope you and Brett are having a blast on your honeymoon!
Happy Wednesday,
Erika :)
