The library included with Komplete 7 is ok, pretty broad ranging but not amazing sounding.
From your mention of VSL is it specifically orchestral samples you're after?

I was doing some restoration work on an 18thC mansion in Mayfair at the time. Heard it on the radio. Went back to work after an expletive-filled 20 minutes. Caught up with it later on TV. I'm afraid my first thought on seeing it was: "Wow! That's a hell of a piece of flying!".

I currently own a LinkSys-WRT54GL 802.11a/b/g wireless router, and my ISP is Comcast Cable providing me with 15 Mbps (that's bits per second, I believe) download speed.
I am wondering if there is any benefit with using the Airport Extreme 802.11n wireless router to access the Internet? The maximum theoretical speed of the WRT54GL router is 54 Mbps (802.11a/b/g), which is faster than the 15 Mbps provided by my ISP.
I know that 802.11n has a max bandwidth of 300 Mbps, and it would help for intra-house transfers, such as streaming video from one computer to another.
But is there any benefit to 802.11n for Internet activity, such as web browswing, gaming, and streaming video from Netflix?

Lee, I'm sorry... but the definition of 'sensational' is not the same as 'anything Lee disagrees with'. Would you call the thread started today by rdowns called "Mike Huckabee... an American Dick!
For this thread to be as sensationalist as the one you mentioned, you'd have to rename this thread "How many of you socialists what to steal Bill Gate's money?"

It sems that i stand alone, but I'm not convinced. I don't feel that I should be asked to enter my password when I don't know what I'm authorizing (even if it is an action I initiated on a previous occasion).

May I ask what you expect on an Apple-based rumor site such as MacRumors? Speculation is the foundation for any site based on rumors, so speculation on the part of its readers is frowned upon? I don't see the logic in that.
Speculation is fine. It's the people saying, "teh UI gonna sux. im not buy 1," and whatever else. I should've suggested not jumping to conclusions. Of course I have reservations about the possible product... but I'm not willing to just jump off the wagon and say, "I'm not buying one."

Does anyone have a facebook fan page set up for your photography? I never really considered setting one up before. Just figured the website would be sufficient, and email for receiving messages and etc. But, today, on a whim I went for it and set up an artist page. It's actually quite interesting, and a whole different experience from maintaining your normal photography site. Actually, since I'm in the beginning stages of a new site design, which will essentially be a restructuring from the ground up for how it is utilized, do you think it is best to leave the interaction side of things to facebook and let the website be more of a deep archive of the work, resume, etc?
If you're interested in checking out the fb artist page I set up, which actually includes in progress images of new work I'm putting together, it can be found at http://www.facebook.com/andybloxhamimagery

So with WMP gone and now VPC gone, the only MAJOR software developed for Macs by Microsoft is Office?
Let's just hope they don't decide to kill office. Sure, I know there are lots of alternatives out there, but you try telling that to Mr. idiot joe-average boss.
Yeah, Office will stay. They said they are committed for at least 5 more years. Office is probably the only Mac software they develop and actually make a decent profit on.

After taking about a 3 hours nap, I've spent the last several hours working on my blog post of the iPhone 3G S launch at the Miami Beach Apple Store.
This being Miami Beach, it wasn't your average launch...with police shoot outs, road blocks, drunk people stumbling by the line (and dancing), and of course Mr. Clucky.

Heres the thing the new wireless spectrum actually is WiMax, to those who don't know what WiMax is, pretty much some people say its WIFI on steroids. Also the fact that if Tmobile is talking to apple it may have to do not only with Iphones but laptops. Wimax works in a way that you can have broadband connections up to 75mbps. So if Tmobile is talking to Apple they are probably going to design a chip or something so that people who buy apple then sign on to Tmobile and will have access to the internet with extremely high speeds anywhere in the US. :) What Tmobile is doing has more to do with Laptops than it would with Phones. Think of it on WiMax you can have IPTV and VOIP running and still surf the net. Not only that Intel and Motorola invested over 1 billion into Clearwire, INTEL IS designing new chips for WIMAX. I dont think this has to do with the Iphones.
Yep, years ago when our 3G network was going in down here they had a big "firesale" on the remaining skerricks of bandwidth. Some upstart internet companies bought it and are making a killing in wireless broadband internet access. It's easier to set up and you can access it all over the city and it's pretty quick too. The companies have limited the download speeds to around 1.5mbps so they can get more people on but that's not too bad when you consider you can be anywhere in the city and have internet access.

I run a business. I send Excel files to customers. I **need** the files to be perfect, no voodoo at all, no weirdness with fonts or file conversion or print area....
Yep - if it works for everyone, it will be a success. iWork is shaping up to be a real challenge to the general publics idea of interoperability.

Hi, I'm trying to get my Apache server working on my iBook. I heard many people recommend not to do it because it's like a sure-fire way to become hacked easily. That's one question I have... How easy is it to be hacked? Also, it won't even set up for me. I don't know why. Is it because I have a DSL connection with a dynamic IP?

Ah, I think this is the issue I'm having! I also want to jailbreak and unlock. Does anyone know where I'd find the iPad baseband files for a 3GS on 4.3.2 running 05.16.02? Thanks in advance!
Only 1 file to be used on this. Ipad 1 3.2.2 firmware. So, google it and you should be able to get it to your PC.

A semi-epitaph post. I picked up Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii on Friday and have pretty much not stopped playing. Just about as addictive as hell. I mean I've heard of the series and played the GBA game (eww) but I was not expecting it to be this damn fun! It's totally up my street. Co-op, stunning pixel art, silly, gameplay to perhaps even rival classic Mario games.
Anyone else got this? 7 near perfect games. I didn't even mind paying Gamestation's ludicrous 39.99.
When is 3D going to look as good as this?

I have put the following code in the header:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<script type="text/javascript">
function detectBrowser(){var browser=navigator.appName
var b_version=navigator.appVersion
var version=parseFloat(b_version)
if ((browser=="Safari"||browser=="Konqueror"||browser=="Microsoft Internet Explorer")
&& (version>=0)) {alert("Your browser environment is not fully supported!")}}
</script>
</HEAD>
<body onload="detectBrowser()">
</body>
</HTML>
The "Microsoft Internet Explorer" detection works on my PC. I just don't get it why the Safari and Konqueror detection does not. I have found the tip at http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_browser.asp
