VINTAGE INSPIRATION

A FEW WEEKS AGO I WENT TO THE MANHATTAN VINTAGE SHOW HERE IN NYC. I FIRST WENT WITH WORK LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION FOR FUTURE COLLECTIONS BUT DESIDED TO GO BACK THE NEXT DAY TO DO SOME PERSONAL SHOPPING & RESEARCH. I SAW SOME REALLY GREAT COLLECTORS ITEMS AND FUN PIECES TO MIX INTO ANY WARDROBE. I PARTICULARLY REALLY LOVED & AM INTO VINTAGE JEWELRY..SHORT OR LONG CHAIN NECKLACES, COCKTAILS RINGS, ANYTHING FUR -NOTHING LIKE A GOOD MINK COAT, ANY DRESSES (THINK PUCCI UNIQUE PRINTS OR ANY TYPE OF CLASSIC, SOPHISTICATED OR SEXY - EVERYONE I KNOW SAYS I ALWAYS WEAR DRESSES WHAT CAN I SAY I JUST LOVE THEM & FEEL SO FEMININE IN ANY TYPE OR PATTERN), OLD LOUIS VUITTON, CHANEL, HERMES HANDBAGS & SHOES. I ENDED UP PURCHASING A NECKLACE FOR MYSELF AND ONE FOR MY SISTER WHO IS ALSO VERY MUCH INTO VINTAGE JEWELRY AND WAS THE PERSON WHO GOT MY GROWING COLLECTION NOW STARTED. I HOPE TO ATTEND MORE VINTAGE TRADE SHOWS & EVENTS AND PLAN TO VISIT MANY OF THE GREAT STORES AROUND THE CITY.
I HAD TO INCLUDE THIS VINTAGE PICTURE I FOUND ONLINE. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE GIRL WITH THE OVERSIZED SUNGLASSES ON THE BOTTOM. NO SURPRISE WHERE THE HUGE ROUND SUNGLASSES WE HAVE TODAY CAME FROM.Source URL: http://lifestyleartsblogs.blogspot.com/2010/02/vintage-inspiration.html
