A SYMPOSIUM ON POPULAR SONGS (1962)

The character of Ludwig Von Drake hosted many informative and entertaining episodes of Walt Disney's "Wonderful World Of Color."

The backgrounds for "A SYMPOSIUM ON POPULAR SONGS" combine style elements into a look I call "Victorian modern!" This rich tapestry of textures is a colortful and fun stage for the Professor's antics. (And the 1960s vintage bears an obvious connection stylistically to 101 Dalmations.)

Here is the opening title, along with the first three re-created pan backgrounds, rich with imaginative detail.

Layout and backgrounds are credited to Dale Barnhart.Source URL: http://lifestyleartsblogs.blogspot.com/2007/10/symposium-on-popular-songs-1962_03.html
