Wedding of Karn & Ben, 5th June 2010, Wedding Photography at Auchen Castle

We were off to Auchen Castle, near Moffat, on Saturday for the wedding of Karn McSpadyen & Ben Turnbull.

Karn, originally from Scotland, is also a photographer based in Leicestershire so no pressure then!

It was a georgeous day with bright sunshine although a huge black cloud sat behind the castle for a big part of the shoot. Luckily the rain stayed away for the photographs and we got a really dramatic looking shot of Karn & Ben walking towards the castle with the big black cloud dominating the sky.

The whole day was very relaxed, Karn, Ben and their guests were all really laid back and everyone including us had a great time.

Here's a few shots we took on the day including the dramatic one with the stormy sky! Yes that really was how the sky looked, no tweaking needed!

Nicola & David, Wedding Photography at Loch Lomond

After Friday's wedding in Edinburgh we headed up to Loch Lomond for the Wedding of Nicola & David.

We stayed in a beautiful little Guest House, along from the Duck Bay Marina, called "Watersedge Cottage" and as the name suggests it's right on the waters edge with stunning views over Loch Lomond. We can definately reccommend it!

It looked like it was going to be a dodgy day weather wise, at one point the rain was bouncing off the pavements. However, in true Scottish style, it was like turning off a tap! The rain stopped and the rest of the day was perfect, warm and sunny.

Nicola was getting ready at the "Carrick" in one of the Luxury lodges in the "Mansions" owned by Cameron House. WOW! What a place. The rooms are huge, contemporary and stunningly decorated. Well worth another visit if we get a few days break.

After the ceremony at Bonhill Parish Church the guests went on to the Duck Bay Marina Hotel while we took the Bride & Groom to the Arden Youth Hostel for photographs. What a georgeous building it looks more like a castle, you'd never guess it was a Youth Hostel at all.

Then it was back to the Duck Bay Marina for a few family shots before everyone sat down to dinner and speeches.

Nicola & david provided us with a beautiful meal and had even sat us with their guests in the dining room which was lovely and unexpected!

At night Nicola & David had their first dance against the beautiful backdrop of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond, a perfect end to the day. We wish we could have stayed an extra night and enjoyed the festivities with you rather than face the 2.5 hour drive home but never mind!

Thank you to Nicola & David, it felt more like photographing 2 friends rather than clients. You and your families were great to work with and you made our job all the more enjoyable.

Here are a few images we hope you like viewing them as much as we did creating them.

Judith & Scott's Wedding, Norton House Wedding Photography

Judith & Scott's Wedding took place at Norton House just outside Edinburgh last Friday. It's the first time we've worked there since the new spa and Garden Suite was built. It's very modern which is a nice contrast to the old stonework of the original house.

After a drizzly start the weather cleared up for us and the day went perfectly. All the guests came outside and sipped their champagne while watching the family shots being taken in the walled garden and then we took Judith & Scott round to the old part of the hotel and took some beautiful shots in the grounds and at the front entrance.

Thanks to all Judith & Scott's guests, you were a pleasure to photograph and it was lovely to see some familiar faces in the form of past Bride & grooms and their families.

Biggest thanks go to Judith & Scott themselves for making our job easy and enjoyable. We can't wait for you to see your images!

Here are a few shots we took, we hope you like them.
