Jayne & Ryan wed at home

Jayne & Ryan had a lovely Humanist wedding at Jayne's parents home in Epsom on 9th June 2007. The threatening weather managed to hold off and a very personal and emotional service was held in the garden with a marquee reception to follow. Jayne's make up was done by Tania Stephenson-Oliver of TSO Bridal Beauty.

The service was graced by late afternoon sunshine in which the beautiful bride was accompanied down the red carpet aisle by the sound of bagpipes and both of her very proud parents. Once wed the party began with confetti, a wonderfuly prepared meal including some barbecued specials, a jazz trio, a night at the casino and capping it all off, a fireworks display.

Jayne & Ryan run a mountaineering instruction and guiding business with courses in Wales, Scotland and the Costa Blanca, if exploration and adventure are your cup of tea you should definitely check out their website www.ryanglass-mountaneering.co.uk

Ad Campaign: Chanel Iman for United Colors of Benetton

I'm quite surprised Benetton is still alive after all these years. I'm not sure about these ads though. It looks gorgeous, yes, but what are they trying to sell? Since when did they get their hands on "ethnic" fashions?

Teen Vogue: Chanel Iman - Almost Famous

Almost Famous: With mile-long legs and an unforgettable name, Chanel Iman is on the fast track to supermodeldom.
    by Jane Keltner

Teen Vogue: Chanel Iman - Almost Famous

To hear Chanel Iman tell it, she was born for the role of supermodel. "I used to dress up as a model for Halloween, like every year," she laughs. "I would study all the magazines and practice all my poses and my walk." So begins the story of fashion's most-talked-about newcomer. Chanel nailed her first full season of shows with an A-list lineup that included Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, and Valentino. She would have done Louis Vuitton and Lanvin, too, except she was only fifteen at the time of Fashion Week and, being a minor, couldn't work on Sunday in Paris. "I want to go all the way," she says of her career ambitions. "My goal is to be a household name, and when I do that, I want to help other girls become models, and maybe even launch a fashion line with my mom, like Beyoncé did with her mother. My mom has such a good eye," she says, "and it's always been a dream of hers. I'd love to be able to do that for her." If her current star path is any indication she'd better start brainstorming names. After all, Chanel is already taken.Source URL: https://lifestyleartsblogs.blogspot.com/2007/06/

We're movin'

This is what my studio looks like today...We sold our house!
With all of the furniture designed by my husband Manolo included.
...we'll start building a new house (and designing new furniture)
next month in the lot next to our house.
We rented a tiny log cabin deep in the woods a few blocks away from here
where we'll be living for the next six months, till our new house is built...
I will document the whole process here on the blog and on my Flickr.
I think it will be fun :o)
We'll be moving in next week.
The studio is coming along real nice,
it still needs a lot of organizing.

I might be missing in action for a couple of weeks
until we have our internet connection up and running.

    Thank you for visiting :o)
I'll be back sooner than later with more art to share.

This little cutie pie has grown up behind my lens. What started as a baby shower gift turned into a priceless collection of images for the Gilles family. Here Gabe is laughing it up at Doty Park in Neenah. The Gilles' stopped by on the way to Milwaukee for a fly by photo session in the park. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day and a happy baby. To see more of this session see my photo stream on Flickr by clicking on the photo.

Leslie and Mark - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Follow this image for more frames from my most recent wedding. I had a great time photographing Leslie and Mark's wedding on Saturday. This was my first wedding as a second shooter in this "photojournalistic" style of shooting. I worked two cameras at a time, shot over 1,300 frames, twisted one ankle and got some great shots.
