How cool is this?

License to Cruise...

Erica and Eric's wedding party stopped for drinks at Anduzzi's before their wedding reception on Friday night. College Ave. was just revving up for it's annual "License to Cruise" car show the night before the famous Octoberfest.

There was a staff photographer from the Post Crescent taking shots... he saw me setting up the wedding party and took a few shots. I am actually surprised the image was published in the paper... I wish I could have sent them the kick butt shot I took!

    Enjoy!

I've been published.... again!!!!!

In good company...

Last night I attended the Wisconsin Bride Magazine Best of 2008 awards event in Milwaukee. It was held at the beautiful and historic Ambassador Hotel downtown. I was lucky to run into a bunch of Fox Cities vendors when I first arrived. It was very nice to see some familiar faces and to hear that many of them were nominated!

I also had the opportunity to hang out with some photographers that I have become friends with this past year. Especially Molly from MThree Studios, Michael Krakora, and Craig Stodola from CS Photography.

Molly introduced me to Monica (The White Box of Wedding Design) a fabulous wedding consultant in Milwaukee. These girls are so cool and fun to be around!

The evening ended quite late... I made it home around 12:45am. It was so worth the trip to Milwaukee to hang out with other wedding professionals who have the same passions (and funny stories) as I do.

Local Vendors who where nominated for WI Bride Magazine Best of 2008:
    Marshall Florist - Kaukauna
    Lenz Studio (Videography) - Appleton
Artistic Cakes and Cookies - Kimberly
    Elegant by Design - Appleton
Paine Art Center and Gardens - Oshkosh
Heidel House Resort - Green Lake
Copperleaf Boutique Hotel and Spa - Appleton

Published...

Three of my images I shot as a fan at the Packers vs. Seahawks playoff game were published in Community Connection News (CCN)- a Milwaukee magazine. I was surprised to find an email from an editor in my in box a few months ago. When they told me they were using my images as full page spreads I didn't really believe them...

Last week I received a large envelope with the latest printed issue of CCN Magazine. I opened right to my image. Ha! There they were three full pages of my Packers glory... The funniest thing is, I used an kit lens from an old film camera. It had a pretty wide range and I didn't care if it got damaged by snow... overall the quality is ok. But if I would have know that some of the images I shot that day were going to be full page in a magazine I might have brought some better glass!

Oh, and an editor from the magazine wants me to let you all know that the magazine is on newsstands now. You can purchase your own copy at Walgreens, Cops and Pick N' Save stores.

    Enjoy!!!

Cover photo of #4 is not mine ;-)

I've been blogged!!!!!!!

Wisconsin Bride Magazine Spring/Summer 2008

I have been interviewed in the trash the dress article in this issue of Wisconsin Bride Magazine. I was contacted last summer by the writer of the article. She found my information right here on this blog. I am very honored to have been selected to share my views on this growing trend.

My bride Janelle Jandrain was also quoted in the article. We had so much fun during her after session! She told me it was one of the coolest things she had ever done.

    I've been published!
To download a copy of the entire article please follow this link.

I will write a little more today about the fearless bridal sessions that are available from Ardent Photography.
