BPA State

State was a blur! It was filled with so much excitement and we were all overwhelmed with emotion, sickness, or sleep deprivation. I believe we were found laughing 90 percent of the time. The other 10 percent was presenting our video and sleeping. Haha it was so unforgettable!! I was able to cross a few things off my High School Bucket List! Well to start off we left bright and early Thursday Morning and headed to Boise. We presented shortly after our arrival, caught some lunch at the mall, and then later on, opening ceremony had a wonderful speaker, Eddie Slowikowsky! Later that night we were so excited to find that we received a callback, placing us somewhere in the top 8! We didn't believe it!!

On Friday Morning, I presented my graphic design promotion and to say the least, I was completely and utterly OUT OF IT! I don't remember much of what happened. I didn't end up qualifying for Nationals in this category, but I'm grateful because overall I believe that its a blessing in disguise. It was challenging juggling 2 events.

In the afternoon, we presented to the second set of judges and they came off as a little intimidating at first. But they were very impressed and we knew it! We didn't want to take it to heart and end up getting disappointed so we just hoped for the best! Later in the evening, we were able to go to the Idaho Stampede basketball game. It was a lot of fun, but after the first quarter we were bored out of our minds so...we decided to make a little fun for ourselves;)
We went around ghosting, laughing, and hugging! Sooo crazy!

When we got back to the hotel, we played truth or dare, which really turned into "truth" because none of us felt like doing the dares. After a short time, only Me and Em were left awake and ended up pulling an all-nighter having the best heart2heart conversation ever. We NEVER ran out of stuff to talk about! Love ya Em!!!!!! Poor little sick Soph would half-wake up every once in a while and give us a good laugh. The exhaustion didn't hit us till around 6:00am, when everyone else started surfacing and when it did it hit us, it hit hard. Especially for Em, she had a really hard morning filled with fatigue. I sorta survived, surprisingly.

    Playing Truth or Dare!
    ohhhh chelsae!

We showed up to the ending awards ceremony all of us half-heartedly struggling to keep our heads up listening to hours of BPA/DECA unnessesary blabbering. After a while we decided to play games to wake us up for the big news. Then the moment of truth came and our category was announced. We went up there, almost not wanting to, comforting each other saying "It's okay guys, we did our best.." and then we heard the announcer, "For the video production team category... in first place.....from BURLEY HIGH SCHOOL...." we all went estatic! AHHH speechless! It was so amazing to have that feeling of accomplishment! We're going to Disneyland!! Nationals will be held at the beginning of May in Anaheim!
