Victoria & Mark were married in St Nicholas Church in Compton near Godalming. This was a late afternoon, early evening wedding and the weather was not in the best of moods with cold rain and dark skies joining in the celebrations. After a beautiful candle lit service the couple celebrated their new found status at Victoria's parents home where three separate marquee's had been set up - one for the dancing, one for the drinking and one for the eating. Victoria better known as Victoria Hamilton is an actress of some renown and is currently to be found on our TV sets in Lark Rise to Candleford. Mark Bazeley is also a renowned actor who has starred in The Queen, Spooks and The Bourne Ultimatum, he had only flown in off his set abroad the day before the wedding.
This was a beautiful wedding full of the winter elements and full of the joy of celebration, with a brilliant Father of the Brides speech setting the tone, the cake destroying the knife (you'll need to look at the picture below to believe it) and friends and family dancing into the small hours.
A pretty accurate forecast
Victoria's beautiful antique jewellery
Victoria's flowers all tied up
Some last touches to Victoria's hair and make up
One of the beautiful angelic bridesmaids
Mark awaits his brides arrival
The wedding car is so misted up it misses it's turn
Victoria & her Father share a fun moment
The first kiss
The beautiful interior of the church
Night portrait just after the service
This has echoes of Hitchcock and old film sets. I just love it.
The candle lit tables
A lovely portrait of Victoria
The table of fun set aside for the kids
Went for an old Georgian look in this fun portrait
Why doesn't my dress do that?
Laughter at the speeches
The cake of steel. Your supposed to break the cake with the ceremony sword not the other way round.
First dance and someone not wanting to miss anything on this daySource URL: https://lifestyleartsblogs.blogspot.com/2008/01/evening-wedding-in-compton-godalming.html
