I think i am going to post daily songs... dunno yet. i did not sleep 'til eight of this morning. mum had made me coffee last night,and that pretty much screwed my whole sleeping "schedule." dunno what else to say...i'm in no mood lately to really talk... just posting pictures and videos of songs that i've been listening to lately.and how i feel. hope everyone's summer is brilliant! All of you probably know The Photodiarist. I visit her blog practically everyday and learn a lot about photography from her through her pictures. She takes most of her pictures in Black and White. Her pictures are stunningly beautiful.
Today she posted a series of beach pictures and we got into a discussion over them (read it all at her blogpost). My first impression was that beach pictures with lots of people should be in color, otherwise there seems to be something missing to me. Biana from A little something something brought up the idea of giving them a vintage color theme, which made me think, that if you turn the "pure" black and white into sepia this impression of something missing would be gone. On third thought, to me it seems that this impression of something missing was brought forth by the "plain" sky, there is no structure or depth to it. Well there was obviously cloudless sky, so what should provide this structure?
In any case this inspired me to play around with a picture and iPhoto (I've got Gimp but I simply haven't found the time to learn how to use it. *blush*). Here are five versions of the same digital picture I took one evening a few weeks ago. I would love to discuss them with you, so don't hold back your thoughts.
The original, no alteration.
Turned black & white.
Turned sepia.
Faded colors.
Saturated colors.
So what do you think works and what not? What impression do you have, when you look at the sepia or the faded or ... picture? How would you do it?

Friday 25th June 2010 was the date of Claire & Michael's Wedding at the Roxburgh Hotel at Heiton near Kelso.
The Roxburgh Hotel is a stunning venue and we haven't worked there for ages so we were really looking forward to it.
The weather was perfect and the wedding took place in the conservatory where the light was lovely and soft.
After the ceremony we took the group shots out at the front of the hotel with the climbing roses in full bloom in the background.
After the family photographs we spent half an hour with Claire & Michael and captured some beautiful romantic shots of the two of them.
Claire & Michael, we loved working with you both, you were really relaxed and it comes accross in the pictures. we hope you like the featured shots below and we look forward to seeing you when you get back from your honeymoon, have a great time.
At the moment I barely take analogue pictures since I'm in full jobsearch mode and simply don't have the time (I wrote 3 applications today!) and the nerve, so for the time being you get more digital pictures from me.
I saturated the colors in the first pic and got a bit of fading in in the second pic. I took those pics at this months beginning while creating new recipes for me. You wouldn't believe how easy a really tasty and healthy pesto is...
I really have nothing much to say,besides that i can not wait for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.i saw the trailer with bits and pieces of both movies,and i am ecstatic. other than that i really don't care about anything and anyone anymore. it's rubbish,a waste of my time,i'm doing my own thing.period. and i am happy with that.
so this weekend i predict it will be wicked!!! Germany is playing this saturday,and afterwards it is also binge drinking week :D my sister and brother in law will be staying over saturday night. it's going to be filled with alcohol,rock band,stratego,and laughs. i love my family way too much! then sunday the alcohol continues for fourth of july,and we may just go and watch The Last Airbender...i HAVE to support Dev Patel (SKINS,Slumdog Millionaire.) the other day i was thinking that i will never have the chance to say that i am 100% German,100% Mexican,100% Spaniard,and 100% Greek... but i have such pride of my ethnicity, my dad and mum raised us with such pride.and i at least have all those in my heart and blood.

All done! I painted them with acrylic & a coat of matte varnish. It's Daniel's now because he asked me for it...how could I say no to Daniel :) He wants to put it on the window above his desk in the new house.
